The next BRC Get Up & Rock session is booked for the 7th of May, featuring great tracks for both the adults and young persons groups. Meet up with other musically minded BRC students and make some noise with us! Speak to your tutor about learning the songs or just show up and give it a go!

Live Band Recording Day 20/03/16

Bristol Rock Centre will be hosting a live band recording day at our studio in Mangotsfield on Sunday the 20th of March.

Bands will have the opportunity to create a live recording of their band playing in our rehearsal studio at the very reasonable price of £50 per session, with an option to add video for an additional £20.

This is a quick, cost-efficient way for a new band to get some audio and video recordings ready for social media or to send to potential bookers, showcasing your band’s real sound in a live setting. For those studying music at GCSE or A-Level, this could be in ideal opportunity to record band pieces for a recorded live performance submission.

FURTHER INFORMATION

  • Each session will last 1 hour and 45 minutes, we recommend that you aim to get 2 tracks recorded.
  • The recording will be completely live with the full band playing together – no punch-ins or overdubs.
  • The video will be 3 camera angles of the same take, synced to the audio track with some basic editing.
  • For an idea of the sound quality of the live sound recording, please listen to the track below – a 3 piece rock band recorded in December 2015 at our studio using the same format.
